Dear Jack, I would love to attend a class reunion. I don't know what I will be doing next summer in August, but I will certainly try to come. I've lost touch with all High School class mates because I have moved around to so many States, Colleges, Universities, and countries. I've lived in Vienna, Austria, Munich, Germany, Berlin, Germany, and London ,England before ending up in New York and now I live in Greenwich, Connecticut with my husband with whom I am married for almost 29 years. I have 3 married step children and 7 grand children. I have my own Interior Design Firm specializing in the design of Hotels, Restaurants, Country Clubs and Inns. I have been designing for 38 years and still love it. I would love to hear about some of my class mates and about your life too. Dear Jack,
I apologize for not getting back to you before the reunion. The post card was put on my bulletin board and I missed it completely. I want to tell you what a great website you have and how much I've enjoyed looking at the photos; you did a wonderful job! Thank you so much for all the work you do to make it memorable. I hope to come to the 50th reunion so please keep me on the mailing list.
I have unearthed a box containing scrapbooks I made during my school days (grade school through Adams) and will go through them sometime and get in touch with you then as to what you might want to have copies of. Right now I am working on a project here that goes back 50 years and my dining room table has been taken over, my office, you name it.
I will contact you for your address when I am ready to sort out the scrapbooks. It will be fun to go back. Thanks for keeping in touch,
Sharleen Powers Orazi |

Hello Jack, It was great to receive the post card regarding the reunion. I would be grateful to receive the Roster. If Jim ('58) and I had known earlier we would have planned to be in South Bend for the reunion. As it is we will be in Denver/Boulder visiting three of our children as well as two grandchildren. My parents now reside with the Lord so sadly we visit South Bend very seldom though we both claim our deep Indiana roots. Jim's parents relocated to Florida in 1963 along with his siblings which leaves very little of our family there. I was saddened to read that so many of our classmates have died which does indeed make me appreciate how blessed I am to still be traveling the earthly journey. If I can help track down classmates please let me know. Sincerest regards, Diane |

Thanks for all your hard work on this. Sorry I won't
be able to be there. [Sep 1, 2006] Hey Jack, Everybody looks great. That is great for all of us being 62 or 63 or 64. I am really sorry that I missed it. I am already making my wife aware that we will have to miss the first two days of vacation, or at least I will, in order to attend in 2011. Yahoo...50 years! It seems that you had a really good turnout. I am enjoying reading all of the notes and emails that you published. Thanks for that. It really is great that you have taken on the task of holding us all together, and done it so well. The site looks terrific. Have you had any thoughts about publishing an email and/or address list for everyone through the website? I would love to be in touch with all. Thanks again for doing what you do. What do you do anyway? It was good to see pictures of Lou Laderer. He is the one that started this whole thing with me 25 years ago. And he probably doesn't even know it. The 10th year reunion had been cancelled. I think do to lack of response. The winter of '80-'81 came upon us. One night, while working late at my office, Lou popped into my head. Don't know why. We were never that close in school. He was part of the 'cools' and I was not. Ya, well, so what! I couldn't get his name out of my head, so I called South Bend information and found out he was still living in town. An attorney I believe. So I called him up. I think he was going through, or had just gone through, a divorce. Sad. Anyway, we had a nice chat and that was the impetous for thinking about a reunion. I ended up calling Hal. We decided to get together on the 4th of July weekend in '81. And if was just Hal and Bonnie and Maureen and me, that was OK. Well, we ended up with a really big crowd. That was fun. And now, here we are. A website and everything thanks to Jack! Kudoos. Well, must attempt to get some 'real' work accomplished. I was just thinking...it would be fun to find out how many classmates donate blood to the Red Cross and how many total gallons the Class of '61 has donated. Maybe another time. Another project. We ought to start pushing for a record for a high school graduating class. We could get in the Guinness Book. |

[Sept 1, 2006] I've been out of contact with everyone since we graduated. Never
got word of any of the reunions which I'd like to have attended. I
went to Wake Forest University, married a wonderful man (Milton
Mills) 40 years ago and have 2 adopted kids, David Mills and
Christina Mills. David's in a photography institute in Western MA
and Christina is in a boarding high school in southern Virginia. I became an urban planner and worked for 37 years for the Federal Highway Administration in fostering public meetings and hearings. I'm retired now and my husband will retire at the end of the month. I was very shy in high school and really didn't know many people. However, would like to hear from anyone who does remember me (or doesn't, works either way). My address is 3227 Stephenson Pl. NW, Washington, DC 20015 and phone is (202) 244-1136. Ohmigod, I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you. We have had tickets for "Wicked" in Chicago for ages for the Saturday afternoon matinee for our whole family so we will be in Chicago on the 12th. BUT I do plan to stop in at the Center for History on Friday evening - probably around 6:45 - 7:00 pm so hopefully I'll get to see a few classmates then. I'll be the 63 year old (who feels like 43 except for one sore knee) with a very-short hair cut (almost totally white). Well, I guess we are all 63 or thereabouts, aren't we?
